Our statement

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and ensuring our safeguarding practices reflect statutory responsibilities, government guidance and comply with best practice and requirements.

We believe everyone has a responsibility to promote the welfare of all children and young people, to keep them safe and to practise in a way that protects them. This includes us – keeping children safe is our ultimate priority.

All children, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation have an equal right to protection from all types of harm and abuse

Some children are additionally vulnerable because of the impact of previous experiences, their level of dependency, communication needs or other issues.  We further acknowledge that some children, including deaf and disabled children or those from Black, Asian and minoritised ethnic communities, can be particularly vulnerable to abuse. Reasonable and appropriate steps will be taken by us to protect the welfare of all children.
